What makes a good therapist? Studies have concluded that the difference in effectiveness between psychological therapies is minimal. However there are clear differences in effectiveness between different therapists, regardless of which therapy they practice. Learning to read nonverbal behavior can give therapists a powerful tool of observation that complements how they practice and most importantly, benefits their patients.
