MiX Original Online Training

MiX 2-Additional Training, Profiles

*MiX 2 TM-Additional Training Tool allows users to practice with images from exclusively the profile view. The training tool contains 84 color images of people representing various ethnicities, ages and genders. You will not receive a certification with this training and there are no instructional videos. It is meant exlusively for additional practice.

How does MiX work?

The training starts with a pre-test so you can assess your natural ability to read emotions. After the pre-test, you’ll proceed through the instruction and practice sessions. MiX includes expressions drawn from six ethnic groups equally representing males and females. You will learn to recognize the microexpressions of anger, fear, disgust, contempt, surprise, sadness, and happiness. Once the training and practice are complete, you’ll take a post-test to see how much you have improved.

If you score at least 80% on the post test at a speed of at least 200msec, you’ll receive a certificate of completion. The better you do on the post test, the better your level of expertise will be on your certificate. You are able to take the post test as many times as you like.

MiX License Information
Purchase of the online training allows you to access the training as many times as you like. The online training is for individual use only and is governed by the terms and conditions set forth in the end user license agreement – the training cannot be used by multiple users or for commercial purposes.

How are MiX 2 and 3 different than MiX?

MiX 2 provides users with the most advanced training on microexpression recognition, presenting frontal, ¾, and profile views of 84 individuals who contribute two expressions each.

MiX 3 subsequently provides users with profile training only.
